Dermatology residency training program
The goal of this program is to provide the best possible teaching and training experience, while excelling in patient care and research. An unusually large number of individuals who formerly trained in this department have gone on to become leaders in the specialty and are known for their roles in research, teaching, and clinical care. We strive to continue to turn out the best academic and clinical dermatologists.

It is our hope that through our interview process we will recruit residents of high quality, both academically and personally, who will then have the opportunity through our rigorous program to develop into excellent clinicians and teachers, with a comprehensive understanding of the pathophysiology of skin diseases. Some residents may choose to gain additional experience through fellowships, such as in dermatopathology, dermatological surgery or laser surgery, in order to gain knowledge and skill in laboratory sciences, clinical research or related areas.
