National Library of Medicine database. Indexes consumer health articles from 200 peer reviewed medical journals, newsletters, popular magazines. All references include an abstract. Not as useful as it once was given the competition of Health Reference Center and Ebsco Health Source Plus. - PDQ - Physician Data Query and CANCERLIT
NCI's comprehensive cancer database, including summaries on cancer treatment, screening, prevention, and supportive care, and information on ongoing clinical trials and the bibliographic database, CANCERLIT are available free at http://cancernet.nci.nih.gov/
N.B. The PDQ available on the Internet is selected information only. Full access to PDQ information can be obtained via the NCI Information Associates Program. Through the Associates Program, a member service center is available to help Information Associates locate or retrieve information. Becoming an Information Associate is easy, just subscribe to the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
