MGH Melanoma Center/Pigmented Lesion Center

The Pigmented Lesion Center (PLC) is the oldest multidisciplinary clinic in the United States dedicated to the care of cutaneous melanoma patients and individuals at risk for developing cutaneous melanoma. Our team of dermatologists and dermatopathologists can offer consultative services regarding moles and melanoma for outside physicians and dermatologists. Alternatively, we can also assume total care of the patient, including lifelong surveillance, education and treatment as needed. The Pigmented Lesion Center is an integral component of the Massachusetts General Hospital Melanoma Center and as such regularly interacts with surgical, medical and radiation oncologists who also focus on melanoma management. The PLC has been and remains at the forefront of cutaneous melanoma research and melanoma patient care. The Pigmented Lesion Clinic is staffed by two dermatologists - Dr. Arthur J. Sober and Dr. Hensin Tsao. Clinics are held on Friday mornings.
