*Initial or loading dose must be administered in the presence of a physician* Loading Dose: 50ug/kg IVP over 10 minutes *Loading dose is usually given prior to starting maintenance* Maintenance: 0.375ug/kg/min to 0.75 ug/kg/min |

Special Considerations: |
-PA-line monitoring of cardiac output, cardiac index, PCWP, CVP, SVR is required for initial dosing and until an effective maintenance dose can be established -Dosage reduction may be needed in patients with renal dysfunction. |
