| Usual Dosage Range and Route: | PHEOCHROMOCYTOMA DIAGNOSIS: 3 to 5
mg IVP HYPERTENSION: 25 to 100 mcg/min as titrated to patient's response. Extravastion: Infiltrate area subcutaneously with small amount of 5-10 mg diluted in 10 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride within 12 hours of extravastion. Total dose should not exceed 5 mg and must be administered by a physician |

| Special Considerations: | - PA line monitoring of cardiac output,
cardiac index, PCWP, CVP, and SVR is encouraged during maintenance infusions. - Monitor blood glucose levels - Effects may be cumulative - For extravasation, refer to policy and procedure section |
