Biography:
Dr. Quinn received her BS from Fitchburg State College and her MS from Boston University, both in nursing in 1976 and 1983, respectively. In 1981 she joined the Department of Anesthesia of Massachusetts General Hospital as a research nurse clinician at the Specialized Center of Research in Adult Respiratory Failure. In 1984 she became a member of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Unit where she worked as a clinical coordinator of the Prospective Investigation of Pulmonary Embolism Diagnosis (PIOPED) study. She then returned to school and received her MD from the University of Massachusetts in 1993. She completed her medical residency and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Massachusetts General Hospital. Since 1998 she has been part of the staff of Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Quinn is the Supervisor of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Research Laboratories and Director of Clinical Research in the Medical Intensive Care Unit.
